Watco is a UK based manufacturer of industrial floor coatings, repair materials and anti-slip products.

Challenge

Traditionally a catalogue business, Watco needed to modernise the eCommerce experience for customers through a best in class eCommerce website which would provide improved UX and superior customer service at point of order.

The challenge was to develop a scalable and efficient digital solution that could support their growing international presence and meet the evolving needs of their B2B customers.

Solution

Watco embarked on a comprehensive digital transformation. The project involved the development of multiple eCommerce stores across various international markets, including the UK, France, Ireland, and Germany. Key features implemented included:

  • Coverage Calculator: Enabling customers to determine the optimal product quantities for their specific area/volume requirements.

  • Intelligent Product Filters: Allowing customers to find the right products based on factors such as area of use, application temperature, surface type, and floor condition.

  • Click & Collect: Providing users with the option to locate their nearest collection point and pick up orders in person

  • Enhanced UX/UI Design: Improving site navigation and user interface to facilitate a seamless shopping experience.

  • Peracto eCommerce Development: Utilising the Peracto platform for robust eCommerce capabilities

These enhancements aimed to empower B2B buyers to make informed decisions and complete transactions without the need for direct sales team interaction.
