You Know Who’s is a family-built business with over 50 years of retail heritage. With a deep understanding of the high-street clothing market and strong industry relationships, they’ve grown into one of the UK’s leading buyers of branded apparel, operating 9 physical stores nationwide.

Challenge

You Know Who’s approached Velstar to help launch the online side of their retail business. The objective was to build a new e-commerce-focused website and drive traffic and sales through paid marketing channels, primarily Meta advertising and PPC. Email support was also needed during the initial growth phase while the internal team scaled.

A key challenge emerged in Paid Social: due to the rapid turnover of stock, products were often sold out by the time custom creatives were produced—making traditional campaign content planning ineffective.

Solution

For Meta, the approach focused on identifying high-intent audiences and launching conversion-led campaigns to promote their broad range of high-street clothing. Campaigns were aligned with seasonal trends, product drops, and cultural events to guide spend and creative planning.

To overcome the challenge of fast-moving inventory, the strategy shifted from bespoke creatives to evergreen content and dynamic creatives. This included using PR and TV video snippets and dynamic ad formats that updated in real time based on product availability.

This pivot allowed campaigns to remain relevant and agile, leading to significant scalability. Paid social budgets successfully grew from £3k/month to £15k/month without sacrificing ROAS targets, driving measurable e-commerce growth.
